Patients first. In Norway, patients can freely choose their provider of orthopedic techinical aids. Most orthopedic aids are fully covered through national health funding.

This means that as an orthotist/prosthetist, you can focus on selecting the most appropriate solution for each patient rather than dealing with complex insurance approvals and financial restrictions.

Expertise and development is important to us. That's why nearly all of our clinics are equipped with and in-house orthopedic workshop staffed by skilled technicians.

Essential Documents. We'll assist you inn aplying for a D-number (temporary Norwegian ID number) and obtaining a tax card. Read more about taxes and other info here.

Authorization Process. You must apply for authorization as a Certified Prosthetist/Orthotist through the Norwegian health authorities (Helsedirektoratet), and we can assist you along the way.

Learning and Integration. You will attend a Norwegian language course in parallel with your onboarding at Blatchford Ortopedi. We have an open and inclusive culture, and several of our collegues come form international backgrounds.

Accomodation. We can assist with housing, help your partner explore job opportunities, and make your transition to Norway as smooth as possible.
